A visit to The Bad Habit, a former abbey turned tavern, takes a chaotic turn as robbers disrupt the peace. The group finds themselves in a tense standoff with armed assailants, ultimately diffusing the situation with quick thinking and force.
Set in
The group heads to The Bad Habit tavern, formerly an abbey, in the subterranean city that is the Dao Empire. They encounter unique architecture, predominantly salamander inhabitants, and some of the last Sisters of the Perpetual Flame down here. Hrothulf seeks glassteel, a rare material, while Darnit experiments with teleportation. Two members vanish temporarily, replaced by another team member. Darnit collects DNA samples for research. They meet Agnus, the tavern keeper, who shares her story about preserving the abbey's memory and hoping to return it to its former glory. The group witnesses suspicious behavior among patrons, leading to a robbery attempt. A confrontation ensues, with Dorinda and Ego taking charge to defuse the situation. Agnus reveals her involvement in the robbery, seeking insurance payout due to desperate times. The situation is resolved, and the group leaves the tavern.
