The group chases after Izar who has run off, using various tactics and items to try and catch him. They eventually reach a waterfall where Izar hovers with his jetpack and two giant bats approach him.

Izar asks the drows to smell vials but they decline. The group discusses sharing Lionel's signet based on drow houses. Hrothulf creates steam for Izar and Ego. Magura gestures about crying. Izar imitates Magura. Ego eats a live salamander. Ego regrets it. The group decides to go back. Izar runs ahead, chased by Dorinda. Dorinda loses sight of Izar and throws a flash grenade. Dorinda sees footprints indicating Izar's path. Izar uses Time Stop and continues running. Ego talks about avian mammals. Hrothulf grabs mushrooms. Dorinda continues chasing Izar. Ego flies with bats following. Darnit notices different quartz. Dorinda informs Ego of Izar's path. Izar takes a downward tunnel. Dragon's breath healing is uncertain. Bats try to help Ego. Dorinda's droid sees footprints ending at a waterfall. Izar prepares to descend the waterfall. Darnit tracks the distance from quartz. Ego slides down the waterway. Izar hovers at the waterfall's edge. Dorinda reaches the end and sees bats approaching Izar. Hrothulf and Darnit join the slide.
