A glowing light is seen downstream. Darnit discovers that the egg went upstream and follows. Dorinda cautiously approaches a bright light and notices the squid struggling. Izar and Ego go upstream, finding a dead end with stalagrights. Hrothulf joins Dorinda and the squid. Shiny fish devour the squid. Darnit and Dorinda approach the squid, which is hitting its head on the rock. Izar decides to wait for the others. Ego suggests reopening the sphincter. Hrothulf creates bubbles. Darnit and Hrothulf attack the squid. Dorinda cuts through the squid and Hrothulf is engulfed by fish. Ego and Izar open the sphincter. They encounter a water scorpion and a bat attack. Hrothulf reaches an air pocket. Darnit searches for the clew. Dorinda touches something but can't find the clew. Hrothulf changes the clew's trajectory for Darnit to grab. Ego loses the fix for her goggles. The squid is being devoured by fish. Izar tries to save Hrothulf but fails.
