The group debates their next move before Ego impulsively leads them into battle with three gargoyles and two ettins. Klutch is severely injured, but they are able to defeat the creatures. Klutch shares her story about her and her mom being slaves.

Set in

The group rests in a hallway and discusses the beams connected to them. They speculate about the purpose of the beams and their possible connection to resurrection. Limerick reveals being sent to help the group but lacks memories. Klutch appears distant and has a glowing scar on her neck. Darnit and Hrothulf try to help Klutch, but she reacts aggressively. They consider going to a water room or facing a creature with seven heads. Darnit tests his golden hands, and Hrothulf observes his glowing chestplate. Each member feels a connection to their golden parts. Limerick defers to the group's experience. They discuss their options and the replenishment of their resources. Ego shows interest in the future plans, prompting a scolding from Izar. Limerick values confronting adversaries. They debate which direction to take after the next room. Ego volunteers to run ahead, and the rest follow. Three gargoyles and two ettins (Chirchee and PoundZone) appear. It would be difficult to run past them. Ego shoots Chirchee, who retaliates. Limerick and Darnit move forward, ready to fight. Izar casts sleep, but only one gargoyle yawns. Klutch joins the battle. Chirchee attacks Ego, injuring her. Hrothulf shoots Chirchee and Ego gets up. Limerick casts dancing lights. Darnit proclaims their allegiance to the goddess of death and readies magic missiles. Izar uses chill touch on Chirchee. Klutch strikes Chirchee. Chirchee retaliates and knocks Klutch unconscious. Gargoyles attack Limerick. PoundZone attacks Darnit. Hrothulf kills Chirchee. Izar attacks the gargoyles. Limerick casts hold person, but the gargoyle resists. Hrothulf misses PoundZone. Izar kills the gargoyles. Limerick heals Klutch. Klutch shares her story of being a slave. Hrothulf suggests exploring a water room. The group discusses their options and takes a short rest. Ego fixes Hrothulf's gun. They plan to go into a water room with their gold parts.
