They visit Professor Nikky Tinklebrat's office but find her absent. They speak to Professor A. Skylar and learn about Nikki's personal troubles. Nikki finally arrives and engages in a conversation with Carlos about Georg's disappearance and a potential project by the Whidmore group. Dos shows interest in cacti while Carlos discusses pure pulvimithe with Nikki. Carlos demonstrates the substance's properties using tea and a shattering tea cup. Nikki keeps the pulvimithe balls in safe cactus baskets. Atchi offers to join the crew to the casinos, despite concerns about losing the ship.
